Established in 1981, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is the nonprofit partner that supports and assists the Golden Gate National Parks in research, interpretation, and conservation programs.
Partnering with the National Park Service and Presidio Trust, the Conservancy has provided over $250 million in support to the Golden Gate National Parks, rallied more than 250,000 volunteers, and pioneered innovative park stewardship and education programs.
Challenge: Educating and exciting underserved children about our national park systems and the benefits of connections with nature.
Results: An event campaign including print, bus wraps and shelters, PR, and event entertainment. Additionally, we created an educational book, Let’s Stroll Crissy Field, to bring to life the flora and fauna of the urban park. The story playfully taught children about the importance of keeping city drains clear of trash and debris, and provided an opportunity for kids to learn about the park before visiting. The event garnered the highest attendance to date.
